بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
يٰسۤۚ﴿۱﴾ وَالۡقُرۡاٰنِ الۡحَكِيۡمِ ۙ﴿۲﴾ اِنَّكَ لَمِنَ الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَۙ﴿۳﴾ عَلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍؕ﴿۴﴾ تَنۡزِيۡلَ الۡعَزِيۡزِ الرَّحِيۡمِ ۙ﴿۵﴾ لِتُنۡذِرَ قَوۡمًا مَّاۤ اُنۡذِرَ اٰبَآؤُهُمۡ فَهُمۡ غٰفِلُوۡنَ﴿۶﴾ لَقَدۡ حَقَّ الۡقَوۡلُ عَلٰٓى اَكۡثَرِهِمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ﴿۷﴾ اِنَّا جَعَلۡنَا فِىۡۤ اَعۡنَاقِهِمۡ اَغۡلٰلاً فَهِىَ اِلَى الۡاَ ذۡقَانِ فَهُمۡ مُّقۡمَحُوۡنَ﴿۸﴾ وَجَعَلۡنَا مِنۡۢ بَيۡنِ اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ سَدًّا وَّمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِمۡ سَدًّا فَاَغۡشَيۡنٰهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا يُبۡصِرُوۡنَ﴿۹﴾ وَسَوَآءٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ ءَاَنۡذَرۡتَهُمۡ اَمۡ لَمۡ تُنۡذِرۡهُمۡ لَا يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ﴿۱۰﴾ اِنَّمَا تُنۡذِرُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ الذِّكۡرَ وَخَشِىَ الرَّحۡمٰنَ بِالۡغَيۡبِۚ فَبَشِّرۡهُ بِمَغۡفِرَةٍ وَّاَجۡرٍ كَرِيۡمٍ﴿۱۱﴾ اِنَّا نَحۡنُ نُحۡىِ الۡمَوۡتٰى وَنَكۡتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوۡا وَاٰثَارَهُمۡؕ وَكُلَّ شَىۡءٍ اَحۡصَيۡنٰهُ فِىۡۤ اِمَامٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ﴿۱۲﴾ وَاضۡرِبۡ لَهُمۡ مَّثَلاً اَصۡحٰبَ الۡقَرۡيَةِ ۘ اِذۡ جَآءَهَا الۡمُرۡسَلُوۡنَۚ﴿۱۳﴾ اِذۡ اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡهِمُ اثۡنَيۡنِ فَكَذَّبُوۡهُمَا فَعَزَّزۡنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُـوۡۤا اِنَّاۤ اِلَيۡكُمۡ مُّرۡسَلُوۡنَ﴿۱۴﴾ قَالُوۡا مَاۤ اَنۡـتُمۡ اِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثۡلُـنَا ۙ وَمَاۤ اَنۡزَلَ الرَّحۡمٰنُ مِنۡ شَىۡءٍۙ اِنۡ اَنۡـتُمۡ اِلَّا تَكۡذِبُوۡنَ﴿۱۵﴾ قَالُوۡا رَبُّنَا يَعۡلَمُ اِنَّاۤ اِلَيۡكُمۡ لَمُرۡسَلُوۡنَ﴿۱۶﴾ وَمَا عَلَيۡنَاۤ اِلَّا الۡبَلٰغُ الۡمُبِيۡنُ﴿۱۷﴾ قَالُـوۡۤا اِنَّا تَطَيَّرۡنَا بِكُمۡۚ لَٮِٕنۡ لَّمۡ تَنۡتَهُوۡا لَنَرۡجُمَنَّكُمۡ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُمۡ مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ﴿۱۸﴾ قَالُوۡا طآٮِٕرُكُمۡ مَّعَكُمۡؕ اَٮِٕنۡ ذُكِّرۡتُمۡؕ بَلۡ اَنۡـتُمۡ قَوۡمٌ مُّسۡرِفُوۡنَ﴿۱۹﴾ وَجَآءَ مِنۡ اَقۡصَا الۡمَدِيۡنَةِ رَجُلٌ يَّسۡعٰى قَالَ يٰقَوۡمِ اتَّبِعُوۡا الۡمُرۡسَلِيۡنَۙ﴿۲۰﴾ اتَّبِعُوۡا مَنۡ لَّا يَسۡـــَٔلُكُمۡ اَجۡرًا وَّهُمۡ مُّهۡتَدُوۡنَ﴿۲۱﴾ وَمَا لِىَ لَاۤ اَعۡبُدُ الَّذِىۡ فَطَرَنِىۡ وَاِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُوۡنَ﴿۲۲﴾ ءَاَ تَّخِذُ مِنۡ دُوۡنِهٖۤ اٰلِهَةً اِنۡ يُّرِدۡنِ الرَّحۡمٰنُ بِضُرٍّ لَّا تُغۡنِ عَنِّىۡ شَفَاعَتُهُمۡ شَيۡـــًٔا وَّلَا يُنۡقِذُوۡنِۚ﴿۲۳﴾ اِنِّىۡۤ اِذًا لَّفِىۡ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ﴿۲۴﴾ اِنِّىۡۤ اٰمَنۡتُ بِرَبِّكُمۡ فَاسۡمَعُوۡنِؕ﴿۲۵﴾ قِيۡلَ ادۡخُلِ الۡجَـنَّةَ ؕ قَالَ يٰلَيۡتَ قَوۡمِىۡ يَعۡلَمُوۡنَۙ﴿۲۶﴾ بِمَا غَفَرَلِىۡ رَبِّىۡ وَجَعَلَنِىۡ مِنَ الۡمُكۡرَمِيۡنَ﴿۲۷﴾ وَمَاۤ اَنۡزَلۡنَا عَلٰى قَوۡمِهٖ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِهٖ مِنۡ جُنۡدٍ مِّنَ السَّمَآءِ وَمَا كُـنَّا مُنۡزِلِيۡنَ﴿۲۸﴾ اِنۡ كَانَتۡ اِلَّا صَيۡحَةً وَّاحِدَةً فَاِذَا هُمۡ خٰمِدُوۡنَ﴿۲۹﴾ يٰحَسۡرَةً عَلَى الۡعِبَادِ ؔۚ مَا يَاۡتِيۡهِمۡ مِّنۡ رَّسُوۡلٍ اِلَّا كَانُوۡا بِهٖ يَسۡتَهۡزِءُوۡنَ﴿۳۰﴾ اَلَمۡ يَرَوۡا كَمۡ اَهۡلَـكۡنَا قَبۡلَهُمۡ مِّنَ الۡقُرُوۡنِ اَنَّهُمۡ اِلَيۡهِمۡ لَا يَرۡجِعُوۡنَؕ﴿۳۱﴾ وَاِنۡ كُلٌّ لَّمَّا جَمِيۡعٌ لَّدَيۡنَا مُحۡضَرُوۡنَ﴿۳۲﴾ وَاٰيَةٌ لَّهُمُ الۡاَرۡضُ الۡمَيۡتَةُ ۖۚ اَحۡيَيۡنٰهَا وَاَخۡرَجۡنَا مِنۡهَا حَبًّا فَمِنۡهُ يَاۡكُلُوۡنَ﴿۳۳﴾ وَجَعَلۡنَا فِيۡهَا جَنّٰتٍ مِّنۡ نَّخِيۡلٍ وَّاَعۡنَابٍ وَّفَجَّرۡنَا فِيۡهَا مِنَ الۡعُيُوۡنِۙ﴿۳۴﴾ لِيَاۡكُلُوۡا مِنۡ ثَمَرِهٖۙ وَمَا عَمِلَتۡهُ اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡؕ اَفَلَا يَشۡكُرُوۡنَ﴿۳۵﴾ سُبۡحٰنَ الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَ الۡاَزۡوَاجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنۡۢبِتُ الۡاَرۡضُ وَمِنۡ اَنۡفُسِهِمۡ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعۡلَمُوۡنَ﴿۳۶﴾ وَاٰيَةٌ لَّهُمُ الَّيۡلُ ۖۚ نَسۡلَخُ مِنۡهُ النَّهَارَ فَاِذَا هُمۡ مُّظۡلِمُوۡنَۙ﴿۳۷﴾ وَالشَّمۡسُ تَجۡرِىۡ لِمُسۡتَقَرٍّ لَّهَا ؕ ذٰلِكَ تَقۡدِيۡرُ الۡعَزِيۡزِ الۡعَلِيۡمِؕ﴿۳۸﴾ وَالۡقَمَرَ قَدَّرۡنٰهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتّٰى عَادَ كَالۡعُرۡجُوۡنِ الۡقَدِيۡمِ﴿۳۹﴾ لَا الشَّمۡسُ يَنۡۢبَغِىۡ لَهَاۤ اَنۡ تُدۡرِكَ الۡقَمَرَ وَلَا الَّيۡلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِؕ وَكُلٌّ فِىۡ فَلَكٍ يَّسۡبَحُوۡنَ﴿۴۰﴾ وَاٰيَةٌ لَّهُمۡ اَنَّا حَمَلۡنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمۡ فِىۡ الۡفُلۡكِ الۡمَشۡحُوۡنِۙ﴿۴۱﴾ وَخَلَقۡنَا لَهُمۡ مِّنۡ مِّثۡلِهٖ مَا يَرۡكَبُوۡنَ﴿۴۲﴾ وَاِنۡ نَّشَاۡ نُغۡرِقۡهُمۡ فَلَا صَرِيۡخَ لَهُمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يُنۡقَذُوۡنَۙ﴿۴۳﴾ اِلَّا رَحۡمَةً مِّنَّا وَمَتَاعًا اِلٰى حِيۡنٍ﴿۴۴﴾ وَاِذَا قِيۡلَ لَهُمُ اتَّقُوۡا مَا بَيۡنَ اَيۡدِيۡكُمۡ وَمَا خَلۡفَكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُوۡنَ﴿۴۵﴾ وَمَا تَاۡتِيۡهِمۡ مِّنۡ اٰيَةٍ مِّنۡ اٰيٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ اِلَّا كَانُوۡا عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضِيۡنَ﴿۴۶﴾ وَاِذَا قِيۡلَ لَهُمۡ اَنۡفِقُوۡا مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّٰهُۙ قَالَ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا لِلَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡۤا اَنُطۡعِمُ مَنۡ لَّوۡ يَشَآءُ اللّٰهُ اَطۡعَمَهٗٓ ۖ اِنۡ اَنۡـتُمۡ اِلَّا فِىۡ ضَلٰلٍ مُّبِيۡنٍ﴿۴۷﴾ وَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَ مَتٰى هٰذَا الۡوَعۡدُ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ صٰدِقِيۡنَ﴿۴۸﴾ مَا يَنۡظُرُوۡنَ اِلَّا صَيۡحَةً وَّاحِدَةً تَاۡخُذُهُمۡ وَهُمۡ يَخِصِّمُوۡنَ﴿۴۹﴾ فَلَا يَسۡتَطِيۡعُوۡنَ تَوۡصِيَةً وَّلَاۤ اِلٰٓى اَهۡلِهِمۡ يَرۡجِعُوۡنَ﴿۵۰﴾ وَنُفِخَ فِىۡ الصُّوۡرِ فَاِذَا هُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَجۡدَاثِ اِلٰى رَبِّهِمۡ يَنۡسِلُوۡنَ﴿۵۱﴾ قَالُوۡا يٰوَيۡلَنَا مَنۡۢ بَعَثَنَا مِنۡ مَّرۡقَدِنَاۘؔهٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ الرَّحۡمٰنُ وَصَدَقَ الۡمُرۡسَلُوۡنَ﴿۵۲﴾ اِنۡ كَانَتۡ اِلَّا صَيۡحَةً وَّاحِدَةً فَاِذَا هُمۡ جَمِيۡعٌ لَّدَيۡنَا مُحۡضَرُوۡنَ﴿۵۳﴾ فَالۡيَوۡمَ لَا تُظۡلَمُ نَفۡسٌ شَيۡـــًٔا وَّلَا تُجۡزَوۡنَ اِلَّا مَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ﴿۵۴﴾ اِنَّ اَصۡحٰبَ الۡجَـنَّةِ الۡيَوۡمَ فِىۡ شُغُلٍ فٰكِهُوۡنَۚ﴿۵۵﴾ هُمۡ وَاَزۡوَاجُهُمۡ فِىۡ ظِلٰلٍ عَلَى الۡاَرَآٮِٕكِ مُتَّكِـــُٔوۡنَ﴿۵۶﴾ لَهُمۡ فِيۡهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَّلَهُمۡ مَّا يَدَّعُوۡنَ ۖۚ﴿۵۷﴾ سَلٰمٌ قَوۡلاً مِّنۡ رَّبٍّ رَّحِيۡمٍ﴿۵۸﴾ وَامۡتَازُوۡا الۡيَوۡمَ اَيُّهَا الۡمُجۡرِمُوۡنَ﴿۵۹﴾ اَلَمۡ اَعۡهَدۡ اِلَيۡكُمۡ يٰبَنِىۡۤ اٰدَمَ اَنۡ لَّا تَعۡبُدُوۡا الشَّيۡطٰنَۚ اِنَّهٗ لَـكُمۡ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِيۡنٌ ۙ﴿۶۰﴾ وَّاَنِ اعۡبُدُوۡنِىۡ ؔؕ هٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٌ﴿۶۱﴾ وَلَقَدۡ اَضَلَّ مِنۡكُمۡ جِبِلًّا كَثِيۡرًاؕ اَفَلَمۡ تَكُوۡنُوۡا تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ﴿۶۲﴾ هٰذِهٖ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِىۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تُوۡعَدُوۡنَ﴿۶۳﴾ اِصۡلَوۡهَا الۡيَوۡمَ بِمَا كُنۡتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُوۡنَ﴿۶۴﴾ اَلۡيَوۡمَ نَخۡتِمُ عَلٰٓى اَفۡوَاهِهِمۡ وَتُكَلِّمُنَاۤ اَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ وَتَشۡهَدُ اَرۡجُلُهُمۡ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَكۡسِبُوۡنَ﴿۶۵﴾ وَلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَـطَمَسۡنَا عَلٰٓى اَعۡيُنِهِمۡ فَاسۡتَبَقُوۡا الصِّرَاطَ فَاَنّٰى يُبۡصِرُوۡنَ﴿۶۶﴾ وَلَوۡ نَشَآءُ لَمَسَخۡنٰهُمۡ عَلٰى مَكَانَتِهِمۡ فَمَا اسۡتَطَاعُوۡا مُضِيًّا وَّلَا يَرۡجِعُوۡنَ﴿۶۷﴾ وَمَنۡ نُّعَمِّرۡهُ نُـنَكِّسۡهُ فِىۡ الۡخَـلۡقِؕ اَفَلَا يَعۡقِلُوۡنَ﴿۶۸﴾ وَمَا عَلَّمۡنٰهُ الشِّعۡرَ وَمَا يَنۡۢبَغِىۡ لَهٗؕ اِنۡ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكۡرٌ وَّقُرۡاٰنٌ مُّبِيۡنٌۙ﴿۶۹﴾ لِّيُنۡذِرَ مَنۡ كَانَ حَيًّا وَّيَحِقَّ الۡقَوۡلُ عَلَى الۡكٰفِرِيۡنَ﴿۷۰﴾ اَوَلَمۡ يَرَوۡا اَنَّا خَلَقۡنَا لَهُمۡ مِّمَّا عَمِلَتۡ اَيۡدِيۡنَاۤ اَنۡعَامًا فَهُمۡ لَهَا مٰلِكُوۡنَ﴿۷۱﴾ وَذَلَّـلۡنٰهَا لَهُمۡ فَمِنۡهَا رَكُوۡبُهُمۡ وَمِنۡهَا يَاۡكُلُوۡنَ﴿۷۲﴾ وَلَهُمۡ فِيۡهَا مَنَافِعُ وَمَشَارِبُؕ اَفَلَا يَشۡكُرُوۡنَ﴿۷۳﴾ وَاتَّخَذُوۡا مِنۡ دُوۡنِ اللّٰهِ اٰلِهَةً لَّعَلَّهُمۡ يُنۡصَرُوۡنَؕ﴿۷۴﴾ لَا يَسۡتَطِيۡعُوۡنَ نَصۡرَهُمۡۙ وَهُمۡ لَهُمۡ جُنۡدٌ مُّحۡضَرُوۡنَ﴿۷۵﴾ فَلَا يَحۡزُنۡكَ قَوۡلُهُمۡۘ اِنَّا نَـعۡلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّوۡنَ وَمَا يُعۡلِنُوۡنَ﴿۷۶﴾ اَوَلَمۡ يَرَ الۡاِنۡسَانُ اَنَّا خَلَقۡنٰهُ مِنۡ نُّطۡفَةٍ فَاِذَا هُوَ خَصِيۡمٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ﴿۷۷﴾ وَضَرَبَ لَـنَا مَثَلاً وَّ نَسِىَ خَلۡقَهٗؕ قَالَ مَنۡ يُّحۡىِ الۡعِظَامَ وَهِىَ رَمِيۡمٌ﴿۷۸﴾ قُلۡ يُحۡيِيۡهَا الَّذِىۡۤ اَنۡشَاَهَاۤ اَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍؕ وَّهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلۡقٍ عَلِيۡمٌۙ﴿۷۹﴾ اۨلَّذِىۡ جَعَلَ لَـكُمۡ مِّنَ الشَّجَرِ الۡاَخۡضَرِ نَارًا فَاِذَاۤ اَنۡـتُمۡ مِّنۡهُ تُوۡقِدُوۡنَ﴿۸۰﴾ اَوَلَيۡسَ الَّذِىۡ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضَ بِقٰدِرٍ عَلٰٓى اَنۡ يَّخۡلُقَ مِثۡلَهُمۡؔؕ بَلٰى وَهُوَ الۡخَـلّٰقُ الۡعَلِيۡمُ﴿۸۱﴾ اِنَّمَاۤ اَمۡرُهٗۤ اِذَاۤ اَرَادَ شَیْـًٔـا اَنۡ يَّقُوۡلَ لَهٗ كُنۡ فَيَكُوۡنُ﴿۸۲﴾ فَسُبۡحٰنَ الَّذِىۡ بِيَدِهٖ مَلَـكُوۡتُ كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ وَّاِلَيۡهِ تُرۡجَعُوۡنَ﴿۸۳﴾

Surah Yaseen Key Verses
١٣ وَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ مَثَلًا أَصْحَابَ الْقَرْيَةِ إِذْ جَاءَهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ
13 And present to them an example: the people of the city, when the messengers came to it –
١٤ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهِمُ اثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا إِلَيْكُمْ مُرْسَلُونَ
14 When We sent to them two but they denied them, so We strengthened them with a third, and they said, “Indeed, we are messengers to you.”
٣٦ سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنْبِتُ الْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
36 Exalted is He who created all pairs – from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know.
٣٩ وَالْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَاهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَالْعُرْجُونِ الْقَدِيمِ
39 And the moon – We have determined for it phases until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk.
٤٠ لَا الشَّمْسُ يَنْبَغِي لَهَا أَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَلَا اللَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِ ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
40 It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.
٧٧ أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الْإِنْسَانُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُبِينٌ
77 Does man not consider that We created him from a [mere] sperm-drop – then at once, he is a clear adversary?

Explanation And Back Ground
This Surah has 83 verses divided into 5 Rukus/Sections. Revealed in Mecca most probably in a later stage of Muhammad’s declaration of his prophethood. Like most other Meccan Surahs its primary focus is on the doctrine of Tauhid Oneness of God, Life after death, and Admonish and warnings to Meccan’s for not accepting Muhammad’s message. Name taken from first two letters of Surah and as we know that these letters are called Mystery Abbreviated Letters OR Hurrof Al Muqattat a brief introduction of which is already given in Quran Statistics & Facts.
Abu Hurayrah said, “The Messenger of God said:
مَنْ قَرَأَ يس فِي لَيْلَةٍ أَصْبَحَ مَغْفُورًا لَهُ، وَمَنْ قَرَأَ حم الَّتِي يُذْكَرُ فِيهَا الدُّخَانُ أَصْبَحَ مَغْفُورًا لَه
Whoever recites Yaseen in the night, will wake up forgiven by the Grace of God, and whoever recites Ha Mim in which Dukhan/Smoke is mentioned, by the Grace of God, will wake up forgiven.)
Anas reported God’s Messenger PBUH as saying, “Everything has a heart and the heart of the Holy Quran is Yaseen. God will record anyone who recites Yaseen as having recited the Holy Quran ten times.”
Maqil ibn Yasaar Muzani reported the Prophet PBUH as saying, “If anyone recites Yasin for God’s pleasure, his past sins will be pardoned; so recite it on those who are dying.
Ibn Hibban reported in his Sahih that Jundub bin Abdullah said, “The Messenger of God said:
مَنْ قَرَأَ يس فِي لَيْلَةٍ ابْتِغَاءَ وَجْهِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ غُفِرَ لَه
Whoever recites Yaseen in the night, seeking the Face of God, will be forgiven
The Messenger of Allah PBUH said: One who recites Yasin and Saffat on Friday and then begs God, God fulfills his demand.
