بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
سُوۡرَةٌ اَنۡزَلۡنٰهَا وَفَرَضۡنٰهَا وَاَنۡزَلۡنَا فِيۡهَاۤ اٰيٰتٍۭ بَيِّنٰتٍ لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ﴿۱﴾ الزَّانِيَةُ وَالزَّانِىۡ فَاجۡلِدُوۡا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِّنۡهُمَا مِائَةَ جَلۡدَةٍوَّلَا تَاۡخُذۡكُمۡ بِهِمَا رَاۡفَةٌ فِىۡ دِيۡنِ اللّٰهِ اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ تُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَالۡيَوۡمِ الۡاٰخِرِۚ وَلۡيَشۡهَدۡ عَذَابَهُمَا طَآٮِٕفَةٌ مِّنَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ﴿۲﴾ اَلزَّانِىۡ لَا يَنۡكِحُ اِلَّا زَانِيَةً اَوۡ مُشۡرِكَةً وَّ الزَّانِيَةُ لَا يَنۡكِحُهَاۤ اِلَّا زَانٍ اَوۡ مُشۡرِكٌۚ وَحُرِّمَ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ﴿۳﴾ وَالَّذِيۡنَ يَرۡمُوۡنَ الۡمُحۡصَنٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمۡ يَاۡتُوۡا بِاَرۡبَعَةِ شُهَدَآءَ فَاجۡلِدُوۡهُمۡ ثَمٰنِيۡنَ جَلۡدَةً وَّلَا تَقۡبَلُوۡا لَهُمۡ شَهَادَةً اَبَدًاۚ وَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡفٰسِقُوۡنَۙ﴿۴﴾ اِلَّا الَّذِيۡنَ تَابُوۡا مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ ذٰلِكَ وَاَصۡلَحُوۡاۚ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ﴿۵﴾ وَالَّذِيۡنَ يَرۡمُوۡنَ اَزۡوَاجَهُمۡ وَلَمۡ يَكُنۡ لَّهُمۡ شُهَدَآءُ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡفُسُهُمۡ فَشَهَادَةُ اَحَدِهِمۡ اَرۡبَعُ شَهٰدٰتٍۭ بِاللّٰهِۙ اِنَّهٗ لَمِنَ الصّٰدِقِيۡنَ﴿۶﴾ وَالۡخَـامِسَةُ اَنَّ لَـعۡنَتَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡهِ اِنۡ كَانَ مِنَ الۡكٰذِبِيۡنَ﴿۷﴾ وَيَدۡرَؤُا عَنۡهَا الۡعَذَابَ اَنۡ تَشۡهَدَ اَرۡبَعَ شَهٰدٰتٍۢ بِاللّٰهِۙ اِنَّهٗ لَمِنَ الۡكٰذِبِيۡنَۙ﴿۸﴾ وَالۡخَـامِسَةَ اَنَّ غَضَبَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡهَاۤ اِنۡ كَانَ مِنَ الصّٰدِقِيۡنَ﴿۹﴾ وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهٗ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ تَوَّابٌ حَكِيۡمٌ﴿۱۰﴾ اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ جَآءُوۡ بِالۡاِفۡكِ عُصۡبَةٌ مِّنۡكُمۡؕ لَا تَحۡسَبُوۡهُ شَرًّا لَّـكُمۡؕ بَلۡ هُوَ خَيۡرٌ لَّـكُمۡؕ لِكُلِّ امۡرِىٴٍ مِّنۡهُمۡ مَّا اكۡتَسَبَ مِنَ الۡاِثۡمِۚ وَالَّذِىۡ تَوَلّٰى كِبۡرَهٗ مِنۡهُمۡ لَهٗ عَذَابٌ عَظِيۡمٌ﴿۱۱﴾ لَوۡلَاۤ اِذۡ سَمِعۡتُمُوۡهُ ظَنَّ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ وَالۡمُؤۡمِنٰتُ بِاَنۡفُسِهِمۡ خَيۡرًاۙ وَّقَالُوۡا هٰذَاۤ اِفۡكٌ مُّبِيۡنٌ﴿۱۲﴾ لَّوۡلَا جَآءُوۡ عَلَيۡهِ بِاَرۡبَعَةِ شُهَدَآءَۚ فَاِذۡ لَمۡ يَاۡتُوۡا بِالشُّهَدَآءِ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِ هُمُ الۡـكٰذِبُوۡنَ﴿۱۳﴾ وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهٗ فِىۡ الدُّنۡيَا وَالۡاٰخِرَةِ لَمَسَّكُمۡ فِىۡ مَاۤ اَفَضۡتُمۡ فِيۡهِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيۡمٌ ۖۚ﴿۱۴﴾ اِذۡ تَلَـقَّوۡنَهٗ بِاَلۡسِنَتِكُمۡ وَتَقُوۡلُوۡنَ بِاَفۡوَاهِكُمۡ مَّا لَـيۡسَ لَـكُمۡ بِهٖ عِلۡمٌ وَّتَحۡسَبُوۡنَهٗ هَيِّنًا ۖ وَّهُوَ عِنۡدَ اللّٰهِ عَظِيۡمٌ﴿۱۵﴾ وَ لَوۡلَاۤ اِذۡ سَمِعۡتُمُوۡهُ قُلۡتُمۡ مَّا يَكُوۡنُ لَـنَاۤ اَنۡ نَّـتَكَلَّمَ بِهٰذَاۖ سُبۡحٰنَكَ هٰذَا بُهۡتَانٌ عَظِيۡمٌ﴿۱۶﴾ يَعِظُكُمُ اللّٰهُ اَنۡ تَعُوۡدُوۡا لِمِثۡلِهٖۤ اَبَدًا اِنۡ كُنۡتُمۡ مُّؤۡمِنِيۡنَۚ﴿۱۷﴾ وَيُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَـكُمُ الۡاٰيٰتِؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمٌ حَكِيۡمٌ﴿۱۸﴾ اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ يُحِبُّوۡنَ اَنۡ تَشِيۡعَ الۡفَاحِشَةُ فِىۡ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌۙ فِىۡ الدُّنۡيَا وَالۡاٰخِرَةِؕ وَاللّٰهُ يَعۡلَمُ وَاَنۡـتُمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ﴿۱۹﴾ وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهٗ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ رَءُوۡفٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ﴿۲۰﴾ يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تَتَّبِعُوۡا خُطُوٰتِ الشَّيۡطٰنِؕ وَمَنۡ يَّتَّبِعۡ خُطُوٰتِ الشَّيۡطٰنِ فَاِنَّهٗ يَاۡمُرُ بِالۡـفَحۡشَآءِ وَالۡمُنۡكَرِؕ وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهٗ مَا زَكٰى مِنۡكُمۡ مِّنۡ اَحَدٍ اَبَدًا وَّلٰـكِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُزَكِّىۡ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُؕ وَاللّٰهُ سَمِيۡعٌ عَلِيۡمٌ﴿۲۱﴾ وَلَا يَاۡتَلِ اُولُوا الۡـفَضۡلِ مِنۡكُمۡ وَالسَّعَةِ اَنۡ يُّؤۡتُوۡۤا اُولِىۡ الۡقُرۡبٰى وَالۡمَسٰكِيۡنَ وَالۡمُهٰجِرِيۡنَ فِىۡ سَبِيۡلِ اللّٰهِۖ وَلۡيَـعۡفُوۡا وَلۡيَـصۡفَحُوۡاؕ اَلَا تُحِبُّوۡنَ اَنۡ يَّغۡفِرَ اللّٰهُ لَـكُمۡؕ وَاللّٰهُ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ﴿۲۲﴾ اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ يَرۡمُوۡنَ الۡمُحۡصَنٰتِ الۡغٰفِلٰتِ الۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ لُعِنُوۡا فِىۡ الدُّنۡيَا وَالۡاٰخِرَةِ وَلَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِيۡمٌۙ﴿۲۳﴾ يَّوۡمَ تَشۡهَدُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ اَلۡسِنَـتُهُمۡ وَاَيۡدِيۡهِمۡ وَاَرۡجُلُهُمۡ بِمَا كَانُوۡا يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ﴿۲۴﴾ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ يُّوَفِّيۡهِمُ اللّٰهُ دِيۡنَهُمُ الۡحَـقَّ وَيَعۡلَمُوۡنَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الۡحَـقُّ الۡمُبِيۡنُ﴿۲۵﴾ اَلۡخَبِيۡثٰتُ لِلۡخَبِيۡثِيۡنَ وَالۡخَبِيۡثُوۡنَ لِلۡخَبِيۡثٰتِۚ وَالطَّيِّبٰتُ لِلطَّيِّبِيۡنَ وَالطَّيِّبُوۡنَ لِلطَّيِّبٰتِۚ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ مُبَرَّءُوۡنَ مِمَّا يَقُوۡلُوۡنَؕ لَهُمۡ مَّغۡفِرَةٌ وَّرِزۡقٌ كَرِيۡمٌ﴿۲۶﴾ يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لَا تَدۡخُلُوۡا بُيُوۡتًا غَيۡرَ بُيُوۡتِكُمۡ حَتّٰى تَسۡتَاۡنِسُوۡا وَتُسَلِّمُوۡا عَلٰٓى اَهۡلِهَاؕ ذٰلِكُمۡ خَيۡرٌ لَّـكُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُوۡنَ﴿۲۷﴾ فَاِنۡ لَّمۡ تَجِدُوۡا فِيۡهَاۤ اَحَدًا فَلَا تَدۡخُلُوۡهَا حَتّٰى يُؤۡذَنَ لَـكُمۡۚ وَاِنۡ قِيۡلَ لَـكُمُ ارۡجِعُوۡا فَارۡجِعُوۡاۚ هُوَ اَزۡكٰى لَـكُمۡؕ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ عَلِيۡمٌ﴿۲۸﴾ لَّـيۡسَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ جُنَاحٌ اَنۡ تَدۡخُلُوۡا بُيُوۡتًا غَيۡرَ مَسۡكُوۡنَةٍ فِيۡهَا مَتَاعٌ لَّـكُمۡؕ وَاللّٰهُ يَعۡلَمُ مَا تُبۡدُوۡنَ وَمَا تَكۡتُمُوۡنَ﴿۲۹﴾ قُل لِّـلۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ يَغُـضُّوۡا مِنۡ اَبۡصَارِهِمۡ وَيَحۡفَظُوۡا فُرُوۡجَهُمۡؕ ذٰلِكَ اَزۡكٰى لَهُمۡؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ خَبِيۡرٌۢ بِمَا يَصۡنَعُوۡنَ﴿۳۰﴾ وَقُل لِّـلۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ يَغۡضُضۡنَ مِنۡ اَبۡصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحۡفَظۡنَ فُرُوۡجَهُنَّ وَلَا يُبۡدِيۡنَ زِيۡنَتَهُنَّ اِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنۡهَا وَلۡيَـضۡرِبۡنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلٰى جُيُوۡبِهِنَّ وَلَا يُبۡدِيۡنَ زِيۡنَتَهُنَّ اِلَّا لِبُعُوۡلَتِهِنَّ اَوۡ اٰبَآٮِٕهِنَّ اَوۡ اٰبَآءِ بُعُوۡلَتِهِنَّ اَوۡ اَبۡنَآٮِٕهِنَّ اَوۡ اَبۡنَآءِ بُعُوۡلَتِهِنَّ اَوۡ اِخۡوٰنِهِنَّ اَوۡ بَنِىۡۤ اِخۡوَانِهِنَّ اَوۡ بَنِىۡۤ اَخَوٰتِهِنَّ اَوۡ نِسَآٮِٕهِنَّ اَوۡ مَا مَلَـكَتۡ اَيۡمَانُهُنَّ اَوِ التّٰبِعِيۡنَ غَيۡرِ اُولِىۡ الۡاِرۡبَةِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ اَوِ الطِّفۡلِ الَّذِيۡنَ لَمۡ يَظۡهَرُوۡا عَلٰى عَوۡرٰتِ النِّسَآءِ وَلَا يَضۡرِبۡنَ بِاَرۡجُلِهِنَّ لِيُـعۡلَمَ مَا يُخۡفِيۡنَ مِنۡ زِيۡنَتِهِنَّؕ وَتُوۡبُوۡۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِ جَمِيۡعًا اَيُّهَ الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُوۡنَ﴿۳۱﴾ وَاَنۡكِحُوۡا الۡاَيَامٰى مِنۡكُمۡ وَالصّٰلِحِيۡنَ مِنۡ عِبَادِكُمۡ وَاِمَآٮِٕكُمۡؕ اِنۡ يَّكُوۡنُوۡا فُقَرَآءَ يُغۡنِهِمُ اللّٰهُ مِنۡ فَضۡلِهٖؕ وَاللّٰهُ وٰسِعٌ عَلِيۡمٌ﴿۳۲﴾ وَلۡيَسۡتَعۡفِفِ الَّذِيۡنَ لَا يَجِدُوۡنَ نِكَاحًا حَتّٰى يُغۡنِيَهُمُ اللّٰهُ مِنۡ فَضۡلِهٖؕ وَالَّذِيۡنَ يَبۡتَغُوۡنَ الۡـكِتٰبَ مِمَّا مَلَـكَتۡ اَيۡمَانُكُمۡ فَكَاتِبُوۡهُمۡ اِنۡ عَلِمۡتُمۡ فِيۡهِمۡ خَيۡرًاۖ وَّاٰتُوۡهُمۡ مِّنۡ مَّالِ اللّٰهِ الَّذِىۡۤ اٰتٰٮكُمۡؕ وَلَا تُكۡرِهُوۡا فَتَيٰتِكُمۡ عَلَى الۡبِغَآءِ اِنۡ اَرَدۡنَ تَحَصُّنًا لِّـتَبۡتَغُوۡا عَرَضَ الۡحَيٰوةِ الدُّنۡيَاؕ وَمَنۡ يُّكۡرِهْهُّنَّ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ اِكۡرَاهِهِنَّ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ﴿۳۳﴾ وَلَقَدۡ اَنۡزَلۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكُمۡ اٰيٰتٍ مُّبَيِّنٰتٍ وَّمَثَلاً مِّنَ الَّذِيۡنَ خَلَوۡا مِنۡ قَبۡلِكُمۡ وَمَوۡعِظَةً لِّـلۡمُتَّقِيۡنَ﴿۳۴﴾ اللّٰهُ نُوۡرُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِؕ مَثَلُ نُوۡرِهٖ كَمِشۡكٰوةٍ فِيۡهَا مِصۡبَاحٌؕ الۡمِصۡبَاحُ فِىۡ زُجَاجَةٍؕ اَلزُّجَاجَةُ كَاَنَّهَا كَوۡكَبٌ دُرِّىٌّ يُّوۡقَدُ مِنۡ شَجَرَةٍ مُّبٰرَكَةٍ زَيۡتُوۡنَةٍ لَّا شَرۡقِيَّةٍ وَّلَا غَرۡبِيَّةٍۙ يَّـكَادُ زَيۡتُهَا يُضِىۡٓءُ وَلَوۡ لَمۡ تَمۡسَسۡهُ نَارٌؕ نُّوۡرٌ عَلٰى نُوۡرٍؕ يَهۡدِىۡ اللّٰهُ لِنُوۡرِهٖ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُؕ وَ يَضۡرِبُ اللّٰهُ الۡاَمۡثَالَ لِلنَّاسِؕ وَاللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَىۡءٍ عَلِيۡمٌۙ﴿۳۵﴾ فِىۡ بُيُوۡتٍ اَذِنَ اللّٰهُ اَنۡ تُرۡفَعَ وَيُذۡكَرَ فِيۡهَا اسۡمُهٗۙ يُسَبِّحُ لَهٗ فِيۡهَا بِالۡغُدُوِّ وَالۡاٰصَالِۙ﴿۳۶﴾ رِجَالٌ ۙ لَّا تُلۡهِيۡهِمۡ تِجَارَةٌ وَّلَا بَيۡعٌ عَنۡ ذِكۡرِ اللّٰهِ وَاِقَامِ الصَّلٰوةِ وَ اِيۡتَآءِ الزَّكٰوةِۙ يَخَافُوۡنَ يَوۡمًا تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيۡهِ الۡقُلُوۡبُ وَالۡاَبۡصَارُۙ﴿۳۷﴾ لِيَجۡزِيَهُمُ اللّٰهُ اَحۡسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوۡا وَيَزِيۡدَهُمۡ مِّنۡ فَضۡلِهٖؕ وَاللّٰهُ يَرۡزُقُ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ بِغَيۡرِ حِسَابٍ﴿۳۸﴾ وَالَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡۤا اَعۡمَالُهُمۡ كَسَرَابٍۢ بِقِيۡعَةٍ يَّحۡسَبُهُ الظَّمۡاٰنُ مَآءًؕ حَتّٰىۤ اِذَا جَآءَهٗ لَمۡ يَجِدۡهُ شَيۡـًٔـا وَّ وَجَدَ اللّٰهَ عِنۡدَهٗ فَوَفّٰٮهُ حِسَابَهٗؕ وَاللّٰهُ سَرِيۡعُ الۡحِسَابِۙ﴿۳۹﴾ اَوۡ كَظُلُمٰتٍ فِىۡ بَحۡرٍ لُّـجّـِىٍّ يَّغۡشٰٮهُ مَوۡجٌ مِّنۡ فَوۡقِهٖ مَوۡجٌ مِّنۡ فَوۡقِهٖ سَحَابٌؕ ظُلُمٰتٌۢ بَعۡضُهَا فَوۡقَ بَعۡضٍؕ اِذَاۤ اَخۡرَجَ يَدَهٗ لَمۡ يَكَدۡ يَرٰٮهَاؕ وَمَنۡ لَّمۡ يَجۡعَلِ اللّٰهُ لَهٗ نُوۡرًا فَمَا لَهٗ مِنۡ نُّوۡرٍ﴿۴۰﴾ اَلَمۡ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يُسَبِّحُ لَهٗ مَنۡ فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِ وَالطَّيۡرُ صٰٓفّٰتٍؕ كُلٌّ قَدۡ عَلِمَ صَلَاتَهٗ وَتَسۡبِيۡحَهٗؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمٌۢ بِمَا يَفۡعَلُوۡنَ﴿۴۱﴾ وَلِلّٰهِ مُلۡكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِۚ وَاِلَى اللّٰهِ الۡمَصِيۡرُ﴿۴۲﴾ اَلَمۡ تَرَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يُزۡجِىۡ سَحَابًا ثُمَّ يُؤَلِّفُ بَيۡنَهٗ ثُمَّ يَجۡعَلُهٗ رُكَامًا فَتَرَى الۡوَدۡقَ يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡ خِلٰلِهٖۚ وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَآءِ مِنۡ جِبَالٍ فِيۡهَا مِنۡۢ بَرَدٍ فَيُـصِيۡبُ بِهٖ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ وَ يَصۡرِفُهٗ عَنۡ مَّنۡ يَّشَآءُ ؕ يَكَادُ سَنَا بَرۡقِهٖ يَذۡهَبُ بِالۡاَبۡصَارِؕ﴿۴۳﴾ يُقَلِّبُ اللّٰهُ الَّيۡلَ وَالنَّهَارَؕ اِنَّ فِىۡ ذٰلِكَ لَعِبۡرَةً لِّاُولِىۡ الۡاَبۡصَارِ﴿۴۴﴾ وَاللّٰهُ خَلَقَ كُلَّ دَآبَّةٍ مِّنۡ مَّآءٍ ۚفَمِنۡهُمۡ مَّنۡ يَّمۡشِىۡ عَلٰى بَطۡنِهٖۚ وَمِنۡهُمۡ مَّنۡ يَّمۡشِىۡ عَلٰى رِجۡلَيۡنِ وَمِنۡهُمۡ مَّنۡ يَّمۡشِىۡ عَلٰٓى اَرۡبَعٍؕ يَخۡلُقُ اللّٰهُ مَا يَشَآءُؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ قَدِيۡرٌ﴿۴۵﴾ لَـقَدۡ اَنۡزَلۡنَاۤ اٰيٰتٍ مُّبَيِّنٰتٍؕ وَ اللّٰهُ يَهۡدِىۡ مَنۡ يَّشَآءُ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسۡتَقِيۡمٍ﴿۴۶﴾ وَيَقُوۡلُوۡنَ اٰمَنَّا بِاللّٰهِ وَبِالرَّسُوۡلِ وَاَطَعۡنَا ثُمَّ يَتَوَلّٰى فَرِيۡقٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ ذٰلِكَؕ وَمَاۤ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ بِالۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ﴿۴۷﴾ وَاِذَا دُعُوۡۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ لِيَحۡكُمَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ اِذَا فَرِيۡقٌ مِّنۡهُمۡ مُّعۡرِضُوۡنَ﴿۴۸﴾ وَاِنۡ يَّكُنۡ لَّهُمُ الۡحَـقُّ يَاۡتُوۡۤا اِلَيۡهِ مُذۡعِنِيۡنَؕ﴿۴۹﴾ اَفِىۡ قُلُوۡبِهِمۡ مَّرَضٌ اَمِ ارۡتَابُوۡۤا اَمۡ يَخَافُوۡنَ اَنۡ يَّحِيۡفَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَرَسُوۡلُهٗؕ بَلۡ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الظّٰلِمُوۡنَ﴿۵۰﴾ اِنَّمَا كَانَ قَوۡلَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ اِذَا دُعُوۡۤا اِلَى اللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ لِيَحۡكُمَ بَيۡنَهُمۡ اَنۡ يَّقُوۡلُوۡا سَمِعۡنَا وَاَطَعۡنَاؕ وَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡمُفۡلِحُوۡنَ﴿۵۱﴾ وَمَنۡ يُّطِعِ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُوۡلَهٗ وَيَخۡشَ اللّٰهَ وَيَتَّقۡهِ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡفَآٮِٕزُوۡنَ﴿۵۲﴾ وَاَقۡسَمُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ جَهۡدَ اَيۡمَانِهِمۡ لَٮِٕنۡ اَمَرۡتَهُمۡ لَيَخۡرُجُنَّۚ قُل لَّا تُقۡسِمُوۡاۚ طَاعَةٌ مَّعۡرُوۡفَةٌ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ خَبِيۡرٌۢ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُوۡنَ﴿۵۳﴾ قُلۡ اَطِيۡعُوا اللّٰهَ وَاَطِيۡعُوا الرَّسُوۡلَۚ فَاِنۡ تَوَلَّوۡا فَاِنَّمَا عَلَيۡهِ مَا حُمِّلَ وَعَلَيۡكُمۡ مَّا حُمِّلۡتُمۡؕ وَاِنۡ تُطِيۡعُوۡهُ تَهۡتَدُوۡاؕ وَمَا عَلَى الرَّسُوۡلِ اِلَّا الۡبَلٰغُ الۡمُبِيۡنُ﴿۵۴﴾ وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا مِنۡكُمۡ وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَـيَسۡتَخۡلِفَـنَّهُمۡ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِ كَمَا اسۡتَخۡلَفَ الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡ وَلَيُمَكِّنَنَّ لَهُمۡ دِيۡنَهُمُ الَّذِىۡ ارۡتَضٰى لَهُمۡ وَلَـيُبَدِّلَــنَّهُمۡ مِّنۡۢ بَعۡدِ خَوۡفِهِمۡ اَمۡنًاؕ يَعۡبُدُوۡنَنِىۡ لَا يُشۡرِكُوۡنَ بِىۡ شَيۡـًٔـاؕ وَمَنۡ كَفَرَ بَعۡدَ ذٰلِكَ فَاُولٰٓٮِٕكَ هُمُ الۡفٰسِقُوۡنَ﴿۵۵﴾ وَاَقِيۡمُوۡا الصَّلٰوةَ وَ اٰتُوۡا الزَّكٰوةَ وَاَطِيۡـعُوۡا الرَّسُوۡلَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُوۡنَ﴿۵۶﴾ لَا تَحۡسَبَنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ كَفَرُوۡا مُعۡجِزِيۡنَ فِىۡ الۡاَرۡضِۚ وَمَاۡوٰٮهُمُ النَّارُؕ وَلَبِئۡسَ الۡمَصِيۡرُ﴿۵۷﴾ يٰۤاَيُّهَا الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا لِيَسۡتَـٔۡـذِنۡكُمُ الَّذِيۡنَ مَلَكَتۡ اَيۡمَانُكُمۡ وَالَّذِيۡنَ لَمۡ يَـبۡلُغُوا الۡحُـلُمَ مِنۡكُمۡ ثَلٰثَ مَرّٰتٍؕ مِّنۡ قَبۡلِ صَلٰوةِ الۡفَجۡرِ وَحِيۡنَ تَضَعُوۡنَ ثِيَابَكُمۡ مِّنَ الظَّهِيۡرَةِ وَمِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ صَلٰوةِ الۡعِشَآءِؕ ثَلٰثُ عَوۡرٰتٍ لَّـكُمۡؕ لَـيۡسَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَ لَا عَلَيۡهِمۡ جُنَاحٌۢ بَعۡدَهُنَّؕ طَوّٰفُوۡنَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ بَعۡضُكُمۡ عَلٰى بَعۡضٍؕ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَـكُمُ الۡاٰيٰتِؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمٌ حَكِيۡمٌ﴿۵۸﴾ وَاِذَا بَلَغَ الۡاَطۡفَالُ مِنۡكُمُ الۡحُـلُمَ فَلۡيَسۡتَـٔۡـذِنُوۡا كَمَا اسۡتَـاْذَنَ الَّذِيۡنَ مِنۡ قَبۡلِهِمۡؕ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَـكُمۡ اٰيٰتِهٖؕ وَاللّٰهُ عَلِيۡمٌ حَكِيۡمٌ﴿۵۹﴾ وَالۡـقَوَاعِدُ مِنَ النِّسَآءِ الّٰتِىۡ لَا يَرۡجُوۡنَ نِكَاحًا فَلَيۡسَ عَلَيۡهِنَّ جُنَاحٌ اَنۡ يَّضَعۡنَ ثِيَابَهُنَّ غَيۡرَ مُتَبَرِّجٰتٍۭ بِزِيۡنَةٍؕ وَّاَنۡ يَّسۡتَعۡفِفۡنَ خَيۡرٌ لَّهُنَّؕ وَاللّٰهُ سَمِيۡعٌ عَلِيۡمٌ﴿۶۰﴾ لَّـيۡسَ عَلَى الۡاَعۡمٰى حَرَجٌ وَّلَا عَلَى الۡاَعۡرَجِ حَرَجٌ وَّلَا عَلَى الۡمَرِيۡضِ حَرَجٌ وَّلَا عَلٰٓى اَنۡفُسِكُمۡ اَنۡ تَاۡكُلُوۡا مِنۡۢ بُيُوۡتِكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ اٰبَآٮِٕكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ اُمَّهٰتِكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ اِخۡوَانِكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ اَخَوٰتِكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ اَعۡمَامِكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ عَمّٰتِكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ اَخۡوَالِكُمۡ اَوۡ بُيُوۡتِ خٰلٰتِكُمۡ اَوۡ مَا مَلَكۡتُمۡ مَّفَاتِحَهٗۤ اَوۡ صَدِيۡقِكُمۡؕ لَـيۡسَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ جُنَاحٌ اَنۡ تَاۡكُلُوۡا جَمِيۡعًا اَوۡ اَشۡتَاتًا ؕ فَاِذَا دَخَلۡتُمۡ بُيُوۡتًا فَسَلِّمُوۡا عَلٰٓى اَنۡفُسِكُمۡ تَحِيَّةً مِّنۡ عِنۡدِ اللّٰهِ مُبٰرَكَةً طَيِّبَةً ؕ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَـكُمُ الۡاٰيٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُوۡنَ﴿۶۱﴾ اِنَّمَا الۡمُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ الَّذِيۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖ وَاِذَا كَانُوۡا مَعَهٗ عَلٰٓى اَمۡرٍ جَامِعٍ لَّمۡ يَذۡهَبُوۡا حَتّٰى يَسۡتَاۡذِنُوۡهُؕ اِنَّ الَّذِيۡنَ يَسۡتَـاْذِنُوۡنَكَ اُولٰٓٮِٕكَ الَّذِيۡنَ يُؤۡمِنُوۡنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُوۡلِهٖۚ فَاِذَا اسۡتَاْذَنُوۡكَ لِبَعۡضِ شَاۡنِهِمۡ فَاۡذَنۡ لِّمَنۡ شِئۡتَ مِنۡهُمۡ وَاسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَهُمُ اللّٰهَؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوۡرٌ رَّحِيۡمٌ﴿۶۲﴾ لَّا تَجۡعَلُوۡا دُعَآءَ الرَّسُوۡلِ بَيۡنَكُمۡ كَدُعَآءِ بَعۡضِكُمۡ بَعۡضًاؕ قَدۡ يَعۡلَمُ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيۡنَ يَتَسَلَّلُوۡنَ مِنۡكُمۡ لِوَاذًاۚ فَلۡيَحۡذَرِ الَّذِيۡنَ يُخَالِفُوۡنَ عَنۡ اَمۡرِهٖۤ اَنۡ تُصِيۡبَهُمۡ فِتۡنَةٌ اَوۡ يُصِيۡبَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِيۡمٌ﴿۶۳﴾ اَلَاۤ اِنَّ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِىۡ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالۡاَرۡضِؕ قَدۡ Name taken from Verse 35 where there is a mention of “An-Nur.
٣٥ اللَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ مَثَلُ نُورِهِ كَمِشْكَاةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ ۖ الْمِصْبَاحُ فِي زُجَاجَةٍ ۖ الزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ يُوقَدُ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ مُبَارَكَةٍ زَيْتُونَةٍ لَا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِيءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌ ۚ نُورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٍ ۗ يَهْدِي اللَّهُ لِنُورِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَيَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
35 Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp, the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allah guides to His light whom He wills. And Allah presents examples for the people, and Allah is Knowing of all things.

Surah Key Verses
٢ الزَّانِيَةُ وَالزَّانِي فَاجْلِدُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا مِائَةَ جَلْدَةٍ ۖ وَلَا تَأْخُذْكُمْ بِهِمَا رَأْفَةٌ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ۖ وَلْيَشْهَدْ عَذَابَهُمَا طَائِفَةٌ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
2 The [unmarried] woman or [unmarried] man found guilty of sexual intercourse – lash each one of them with a hundred lashes, and do not be taken by pity for them in the religion of Allah, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a group of believers witness their punishment.
١٢ لَوْلَا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ ظَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ خَيْرًا وَقَالُوا هَٰذَا إِفْكٌ مُبِينٌ
12 Why, when you heard it, did not the believing men and believing women think good of one another and say, “This is an obvious falsehood”?
٢٦ الْخَبِيثَاتُ لِلْخَبِيثِينَ وَالْخَبِيثُونَ لِلْخَبِيثَاتِ ۖ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ لِلطَّيِّبِينَ وَالطَّيِّبُونَ لِلطَّيِّبَاتِ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ مُبَرَّءُونَ مِمَّا يَقُولُونَ ۖ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ
26 Evil words are for evil men, and evil men are [subjected] to evil words. And good words are for good men, and good men are [an object] of good words. Those [good people] are declared innocent of what the slanderers say. For them is forgiveness and noble provision.

٣٦ فِي بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا اسْمُهُ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ فِيهَا بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالْآصَالِ
36 [Such niches are] in mosques which Allah has ordered to be raised and that His name be mentioned therein; exalting Him within them in the morning and the evenings
٤٠ أَوْ كَظُلُمَاتٍ فِي بَحْرٍ لُجِّيٍّ يَغْشَاهُ مَوْجٌ مِنْ فَوْقِهِ مَوْجٌ مِنْ فَوْقِهِ سَحَابٌ ۚ ظُلُمَاتٌ بَعْضُهَا فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ إِذَا أَخْرَجَ يَدَهُ لَمْ يَكَدْ يَرَاهَا ۗ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجْعَلِ اللَّهُ لَهُ نُورًا فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ نُورٍ
40 Or [they are] like darknesses within an unfathomable sea which is covered by waves, upon which are waves, over which are clouds – darknesses, some of them upon others. When one puts out his hand [therein], he can hardly see it. And he to whom Allah has not granted light – for him there is no light.

Explanation And Back Ground
This Surah has 64 verses divided into 9 Rukus/Sections. This Surah was revealed in Madina. After migration to Madina Muslims became a community and thus require laws and regulations regarding day-to-day life. The underlying theme of Surah is the social life and instructions to consolidate this basic unit of the society and its development based on righteousness and morality. It gives detailed instructions on the punishment of Zana/Fornication, Qazf/False Witness, Lian/Accusing Spouse, Slander & Rumours.
The Prophet of God (PBUH) said: One who recites Surah Nur will be given 10 rewards equal to the number of all believing men and women of the past and the future.
Surah Nur and Surah Ahzab are the only Surahs of the Quran that give instructions on “Parda” i.e GuardIng Private Part And Adornment. There is a dispute among Quranic commentators whether Surah Nur was revealed before Surah Ahzab or vice versa. There are many traditions that state that Surah Nur revealed after the battle of Bani Mustaliq when on return from this expedition the incident related to Prophet’s wife Aaisha took place. This is another similarity between Surah Ahzab and Surah Nur that in former the conspiracies and Slander to defame Prophet Muhammad and Islam by disbelievers and hypocrites and those Muslims who were weak in faith was regarding his marriage with Zainab bint Jahsh and in later case here in Surah Nur its regarding Prophet’s wife, Aaisha.
To understand the whole incident and background of this Surah read this Hadith in Aisha’s(the wife of the Prophet) own words from Salih Bukhari Book of Witnesses Hadith 25 Global ref 2661 OR Vol. 3, Book 48, Hadith 829
Narrated Aisha:
(the wife of the Prophet) “Whenever Allah’s Apostle intended to go on a journey, he would draw lots amongst his wives and would take with him the one upon whom the lot fell. During a Ghazwa of his, he drew lots amongst us and the lot fell upon me, and I proceeded with him after Allah had decreed the use of the veil by women. I was carried in a Howdah (on the camel) and dismounted while still in it. When Allah’s Apostle was through with his Ghazwa and returned home, and we approached the city of Medina, Allah’s Apostle ordered us to proceed at night. When the order of setting off was given, I walked till I was past the army to answer the call of nature. After finishing I returned (to the camp) to depart (with the others) and suddenly realized that my necklace over my chest was missing. So, I returned to look for it and was delayed because of that. The people who used to carry me on the camel, came to my Howdah and put it on the back of the camel, thinking that I was in it, as, at that time, women were light in weight, and thin and lean, and did not use to eat much. So, those people did not feel the difference in the heaviness of the Howdah while lifting it, and they put it over the camel. At that time I was a young lady. They set the camel moving and proceeded on. I found my necklace after the army had gone, and came to their camp to find nobody. So, I went to the place where I used to stay, thinking that they would discover my absence and come back in my search. While in that state, I felt sleepy and slept. Safwan bin Mu’attal As-Sulami Adh-Dhakwani was behind the army and reached my abode in the morning. When he saw a sleeping person, he came to me, and he used to see me before veiling. So, I got up when I heard him saying, “Inna Lil-lah-wa inn an ilaihi rajiun (We are for Allah, and we will return to Him).” He made his camel kneel down. He got down from his camel and put his leg on the front legs of the camel and then I rode and sat over it. Safwan set out walking, leading the camel by the rope till we reached the army who had halted to take rest at midday. Then whoever was meant for destruction, fell into destruction, (some people accused me falsely) and the leader of the false accusers was `Abdullah bin Ubai bin Salul. After that, we returned to Medina, and I became ill for one month while the people were spreading the forged statements of the false accusers. I was feeling during my ailment as if I were not receiving the usual kindness from the Prophet which I used to receive from him when I got sick. But he would come, greet and say, ‘How is that (girl)?’ I did not know anything of what was going on till I recovered from my ailment and went out with Um Mistah to the Manasi where we used to answer the call of nature, and we used not to go to answer the call of nature except from night to night and that was before we had lavatories near to our houses. And this habit of ours was similar to the habit of the old ‘Arabs in the open country (or away from houses). So. I and Um Mistah bint Ruhm went out walking. Um, Mistah stumbled because of her long dress, and on that she said, ‘Let Mistah be ruined.’ I said, ‘You are saying a bad word. Why are you abusing a man who took part in (the battle of) Badr?’ She said, ‘O Hanata (you there) didn’t you hear what they said?’ Then she told me the rumors of the false accusers. My sickness was aggravated, and when I returned home, Allah’s Apostle came to me, and after greeting he said, ‘How is that (girl)?’ I requested him to allow me to go to my parents. I wanted then to be sure of the news through them. Allah’s Apostle allowed me, and I went to my parents and asked my mother, ‘What are the people talking about?’ She said, ‘O my daughter! Don’t worry much about this matter. By Allah, never is there a charming woman loved by her husband who has other wives, but the women would forge false news about her.’ I said, ‘Glorified be Allah! Are the people really taking of this matter?’ That night I kept on weeping and could not sleep till morning. In the morning Allah’s Apostle called `Ali bin Abu Talib and Usama bin Zaid when he saw the Divine Inspiration delayed, to consul them about divorcing his wife (i.e. `Aisha). Usama bin Zaid said what he knew of the good reputation of his wives and added, ‘O Allah’s Apostle! Keep your wife, for, by Allah, we know nothing about her but good.’ `Ali bin Abu Talib said, ‘O Allah’s Apostle! Allah has not imposed restrictions on you, and there are many women other than she, yet you may ask the woman-servant who will tell you the truth.’ On that Allah’s Apostle called Buraira and said, ‘O Burair. Did you ever see anything which roused your suspicions about her?’ Buraira said, ‘No, by Allah Who has sent you with the Truth, I have never seen in her anything faulty except that she is a girl of immature age, who sometimes sleeps and leaves the dough for the goats to eat.’ On that day Allah’s Apostle ascended the pulpit and requested that somebody support him in punishing `Abdullah bin Ubai bin Salul. Allah’s Apostle said, ‘Who will support me to punish that person (`Abdullah bin Ubai bin Salul) who has hurt me by slandering the reputation of my family? By Allah, I know nothing about my family but good, and they have accused a person about whom I know nothing except good, and he never entered my house except in my company.’ Sa`d bin Mu`adh got up and said, ‘O Allah’s Apostle! by Allah, I will relieve you from him. If that man is from the tribe of the Aus, then we will chop his head off, and if he is from our brothers, the Khazraj, then order us, and we will fulfill your order.’ On that Sa`d bin ‘Ubada, the chief of the Khazraj and before this incident, he had been a pious man, got up, motivated by his zeal for his tribe and said, ‘By Allah, you have told a lie; you cannot kill him, and you will never be able to kill him.’ On that Usaid bin Al-Hadir got up and said (to Sa`d bin ‘Ubada), ‘By Allah! you are a liar. By Allah, we will kill him; and you are a hypocrite, defending the hypocrites.’ On this, the two tribes of Aus and Khazraj got excited and were about to fight each other, while Allah’s Apostle was standing on the pulpit. He got down and quieted them till they became silent and he kept quiet. On that day I kept on weeping so much so that neither did my tears stop nor could I sleep. In the morning my parents were with me and I had wept for two nights and a day, till I thought my liver would burst from weeping. While they were sitting with me and I was weeping, an Ansari woman asked my permission to enter, and I allowed her to come in. She sat down and started weeping with me. While we were in this state, Allah’s Apostle came and sat down and he had never sat with me since the day they forged the accusation. No revelation regarding my case came to him for a month. He recited Tashah-hud (i.e. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad are His Apostle) and then said, ‘O `Aisha! I have been informed such-and-such about you; if you are innocent, then Allah will soon reveal your innocence, and if you have committed a sin, then repent to Allah and ask Him to forgive you, for when a person confesses his sin and asks Allah for forgiveness, Allah accepts his repentance.’ When Allah’s Apostle finished his speech my tears ceased completely and there remained not even a single drop of it. I requested my father to reply to Allah’s Apostle on my behalf. My father said, By Allah, I do not know what to say to Allah’s Apostle.’ I said to my mother, ‘Talk to Allah’s Apostle on my behalf.’ She said, ‘By Allah, I do not know what to say to Allah’s Apostle. I was a young girl and did not have much knowledge of the Qur’an. I said. ‘I know, by Allah, that you have listened to what people are saying and that has been planted in your minds and you have taken it as a truth. Now, if I told you that I am innocent and Allah knows that I am innocent, you would not believe me and if I confessed to you falsely that I am guilty, and Allah knows that I am innocent you would believe me. By Allah, I don’t compare my situation with you except to the situation of Joseph’s father (i.e. Jacob) who said, ‘So (for me) patience is most fitting against that which you assert and it is Allah (Alone) whose help can be sought.’ Then I turned to the other side of my bed hoping that Allah would prove my innocence. By Allah, I never thought that Allah would reveal Divine Inspiration in my case, as I considered myself too inferior to be talked of in the Holy Qur’an. I had hoped that Allah’s Apostle might have a dream in which Allah would prove my innocence. By Allah, Allah’s Apostle had not got up and nobody had left the house before the Divine Inspiration came to Allah’s Apostle. So, there overtook him the same state which used to overtake him, (when he used to have, on being inspired divinely). He was sweating so much so that the drops of the sweat were dropping like pearls though it was a (cold) wintry day. When that state of Allah’s Apostle was over, he was smiling and the first word he said was, Aisha! Thank Allah, for Allah has declared your innocence.’ My mother told me to go to Allah’s Apostle. I replied, ‘By Allah, I will not go to him and will not thank but Allah.’ So Allah revealed: “Verily! They who spread the slander are a gang among you . . .” (24.11) When Allah gave the declaration of my Innocence, Abu Bakr, who used to provide for Mistah bin Uthatha for he was his relative, said, ‘By Allah, I will never provide Mistah with anything because of what he said about Aisha.’ But Allah later revealed: — “And let not those who are good and wealthy among you swear not to help their kinsmen, those in need and those who left their homes in Allah’s Cause. Let them forgive and overlook. Do you not wish that Allah should forgive you? Verily! Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.” (24.22) After that Abu Bakr said, ‘Yes ! By Allah! I like that Allah should forgive me,’ and resumed helping Mistah whom he used to help before. Allah’s Apostle also asked Zainab bint Jahsh (i.e. the Prophet’s wife about me saying, ‘What do you know and what did you see?’ She replied, ‘O Allah’s Apostle! I refrain to claim hearing or seeing what I have not heard or seen. By Allah, I know nothing except goodness about Aisha.” Aisha further added “Zainab was competing with me (in her beauty and the Prophet’s love), yet Allah protected her (from being malicious), for she had piety.”
